Sonnet To Sleep Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEFBEGHGH

O soft embalmer of the still midnightA
Shutting with careful fingers and benignB
Our gloom pleas'd eyes embower'd from the lightA
Enshaded in forgetfulness divineB
O soothest Sleep if so it please thee closeC
In midst of this thine hymn my willing eyesD
Or wait the Amen ere thy poppy throwsE
Around my bed its lulling charitiesF
Then save me or the passed day will shineB
Upon my pillow breeding many woesE
Save me from curious conscience that still hoardsG
Its strength for darkness burrowing like a moleH
Turn the key deftly in the oiled wardsG
And seal the hushed casket of my soulH
