Sonnet: To A Lady Seen For A Few Moments At Vauxhall Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

Time's sea hath been five years at its slow ebbA
Long hours have to and fro let creep the sandB
Since I was tangled in thy beauty's webA
And snared by the ungloving of thine handB
And yet I never look on midnight skyC
But I behold thine eyes' well memory'd lightD
I cannot look upon the rose's dyeC
But to thy cheek my soul doth take its flightD
I cannot look on any budding flowerE
But my fond ear in fancy at thy lipsF
And hearkening for a love sound doth devourE
Its sweets in the wrong sense Thou dost eclipseF
Every delight with sweet rememberingG
And grief unto my darling joys dost bringG
