Sonnet. The Human Seasons Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEFGHGHAA

Four Seasons fill the measure of the yearA
There are four seasons in the mind of manB
He has his lusty Spring when fancy clearA
Takes in all beauty with an easy spanB
He has his Summer when luxuriouslyC
Spring's honied cud of youthful thought he lovesD
To ruminate and by such dreaming highE
Is nearest unto heaven quiet covesF
His soul has in its Autumn when his wingsG
He furleth close contented so to lookH
On mists in idleness to let fair thingsG
Pass by unheeded as a threshold brookH
He has his Winter too of pale misfeatureA
Or else he would forego his mortal natureA
