Dedication To Leigh Hunt, Esq. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACBCBCB

Glory and loveliness have pass'd awayA
For if we wander out in early mornB
No wreathed incense do we see upborneB
Into the east to meet the smiling dayA
No crowd of nymphs soft voic'd and young and gayA
In woven baskets bringing ears of cornB
Roses and pinks and violets to adornB
The shrine of Flora in her early MayA
But there are left delights as high as theseC
And I shall ever bless my destinyB
That in a time when under pleasant treesC
Pan is no longer sought I feel a freeB
A leafy luxury seeing I could pleaseC
With these poor offerings a man like theeB
