| A small black Cocker Spaniel | G |
| She was always on the go | F |

| She had the softest brown eyes | H |
| That could melt a heart of stone | I |
| She was the sweetest dog | J |
| I have ever known | I |

| Her younger years were difficult | K |
| To say the very least | L |
| Born with a heart defect | M |
| She should have been deceased | L |

| I think anyone would agree | A |
| That fate had her come to me | A |
| Although the reasons for these things | N |
| Will always be a mystery | A |

| At any rate the story goes | E |
| Along the way it should | O |
| I was able to correct her heart | P |
| When no one else ever could | O |

| She was like a sister to one kitty | A |
| But really hated another | Q |
| She always licked the one | R |
| But snarled at the other | Q |

| Her attitude made me laugh | S |
| As I would watch her run | R |
| The way she went at life | T |
| Every thing was truly fun | R |

| Then one day she couldn t walk | U |
| And didn t understand the why | V |
| Again that fate had entered in | W |
| As she was soon to die | V |

| We tried everything to cure | X |
| But in the end to no avail | Y |
| It was all that we could do | Z |
| One final breath ended her travail | Y |

Poet's note: The poem pretty much tells the story. There is lots more about her passing that I may eventually share. Suffice it to say, she was a wonderful little dog.
