IA
The mercy O Eternal OneB
By man unmeasured yetC
In joy or grief in shade or sunB
I never will forgetC
I give the whole and not a partD
Of all Thou gayest meE
My goods my life my soul and heartD
I yield them all to TheeE

IIA
We fast and plead we weep and prayF
From morning until evenG
We feel to find the holy wayF
We knock at the gate of heavenB
And when in silent awe we waitH
And word and sign forbearF
The hinges of the golden gateH
Move soundless to our prayerF
Who hears the eternal harmoniesI
Can heed no outward wordJ
Blind to all else is he who seesI
The vision of the LordK
-
IIIA
O soul be patient restrain thy tearsL
Have hope and not despairF
As a tender mother heareth her childM
God hears the penitent prayerF
And not forever shall grief be thineN
On the Heavenly Mother's breastO
Washed clean and white in the waters of joyP
Shall His seeking child find restO
Console thyself with His word of graceQ
And cease thy wail of woeR
For His mercy never an equal hathS
And His love no bounds can knowR
Lean close unto Him in faith and hopeT
How many like thee have foundU
In Him a shelter and home of peaceV
By His mercy compassed roundU
There safe from sin and the sorrow it bringsW
They sing their grateful psalmsX
And rest at noon by the wells of GodY
In the shade of His holy palmsZ
