Mother, Nurse, And Fairy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEE FGHHEEII JJ EE KKLM NNOOPPEEQQ

Give me a son grant me an heirA
The fairies granted her the prayerA
And to the partial parent's eyesB
Was never child so fair and wiseB
Waked to the morning's pleasing joyC
The mother rose and sought her boyC
She found the nurse like one possessedD
Who wrung her hands and beat her breastD
What is the matter Nurse this clatterE
The boy is well what is the matterE
-
What is the matter Ah I fearF
The dreadful fairy has been hereG
And changed the baby boy She cameH
Invisible I'm not to blameH
She's changed the baby here's a creatureE
A pug a monkey every featureE
Where is his mother's mouth and graceI
His father's eyes and nose and faceI
-
Woman the mother said you're blindJ
He's wit and beauty all combinedJ
-
Lord Madam with that horrid leerE
That squint is more than one can bearE
-
But as she spoke a pigmy wee soulK
Jumped in head foremost through the key holeK
Perched on the cradle and from thenceL
Harangued with fairy vehemenceM
-
Repair thy wit repair thy witN
Truly you are devoid of itN
Think you that fairies would change placesO
With sons of clay and human racesO
In one point like to you aloneP
That we are partial to our ownP
For neither would a fairy motherE
Exchange her baby for anotherE
But should we change with imps of clayQ
We should be idiots like as theyQ
