Rhyme Scheme: AABC DDEEFFGG HHIIJJFFHH CC CC HHHH

A florist wit had run a rigA
Had set his fancy on a pigA
Which followed master like a dogB
And petted was although a hogC
-
The master thus addressed the swineD
My house and garden both be thineD
Feast on potatoes as you pleaseE
And riot 'midst the beans and peasE
Turnips and carrots pig devourF
And broccoli and cauliflowerF
But spare my tulips my delightG
By which I fascinate my sightG
-
But Master Pig next morning roamedH
Where sweet wort in the coolers foamedH
He sucked his fill then munched some grainsI
And whilst inebriated gainsI
The garden for some cooling fruitsJ
And delved his snout for tulip rootsJ
He did I tell you much disasterF
So thought at any rate his masterF
My sole my only charge forgotH
You drunken and ungrateful sotH
-
Drunken yourself said Piggy wiggyC
I ate the roots not flowers you priggyC
-
The florist hit the pig a pegC
And piggy turned and tore his legC
-
Fool that I was the florist saidH
To let that hog come near my bedH
Who cherishes a brutal mateH
Will mourn the folly soon or lateH
