Barleymow And Dunghill Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC BBDDEE FFGGHHIIJJ GGKKLMNN

How many saucy beaux we meetA
'Twixt Westminster and Aldgate streetA
Rascals the mushrooms of a dayB
Who sprung and shared the South Sea preyB
Nor in their zenith condescendC
To own or know the humble friendC
-
A careful farmer took his wayB
Across his yard at break of dayB
He leant a moment o'er the railD
To hear the music of the flailD
In his quick eye he viewed his stockE
The geese the hogs the fleecy flockE
-
A barleymow there fat as muttonF
Then held her master by the buttonF
Master my heart and soul are wrung tillG
They can't abide that dirty dunghillG
Master you know I make your beerH
You boast of me at Christmas cheerH
Then why insult me and disgrace meI
And next to that vile dunghill place meI
By Jove it gives my nose offenceJ
Command the hinds to cart it henceJ
-
You stupid Barleymow said DunghillG
You talk about your heart and wrung illG
Where would you be I'd like to knowK
Had I not fed and made you growK
You of October brew brag pshawL
You would have been a husk of strawM
And now instead of gratitudeN
You rail in this ungrateful moodN
