Away awayA
Through that strange void and vastB
Brimmed with dying dayA
AwayA
So that I feelC
Only the windD
Of the world's swift rolling wheelC
-
See what a mazeE
Of whirling raysE
The sharp windD
Weakens the airF
Is but thin airF
Not fume and flying fireG
O heart's desireG
Now thou art stillH
And the air chillH
-
And but a stemI
Of clear cold lightJ
Shines in this stony darkK
Farewell world of senseL
Too fair too fairF
To be so falseM
Hence henceL
Rosy memoriesN
Delight of ears hands eyesO
RiseO
When I bid O thouP
Tide of the darkK
Whelming the pale lastB
Reflection of that vastB
Too fair deceitQ
-
Ah sweetQ
To miss the vexing heatQ
Of the heart's desireG
Only to knowR
All's lost lostS
SweetQ
To know the lack of sweetQ
-
Thou foolT
See how the steady darkK
Is filled with eyesO
Eyes that smileU
Hot then how coolT
Eyes that were stars till thouP
Mad'st them eyesO
O the tormentingV
Look the unrelentingV
Passionate kissW
Of their wild light on thineX
Light of thine eyesO
-
As if one couldY
Loathe the world for too much sweetnessZ
All the air's a flameA2
Wonderful yet the sameA2
Thou'st hatedB2
Being briefly satedC2
With sweet of sweetnessZ
-
Forgive a heart whose madnessZ
Was not of madness bornD2
But of mere wildE2
Waste of desireG
Who does not knowR
One speaks so or soR
Out of mere passionF2
That sees not loveG2
From hate nor life from deathH2
Nor hell from heavenF2
-
In the East oh that flashedI2
Brightness pastB
The loveliness evenJ2
Of sunset's flushK2
