The Bright Rider Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACBDDEAFGGHIHJIKJL MBBNOBPPBJJBQNBRRQ

All the night through I drankA
Sleep like water or cool ciderB
Life flowed over and I sankA
Down below the night of cloudsC
Then on a pale horse was riderB
Through long brushing woodsD
Where the owl in silence broodsD
Quavers and is quiet againE
Where the grass dark and rankA
Breathes on the still air its rainF
Rain and dark and green and soundG
Closing slowly roundG
Swept me as I rodeH
And rode on until I cameI
Where a white cold river flowedH
Under woods thin and bareJ
In the moon's long candle flameI
Through the woods the wind crawledK
Leviathan and here and thereJ
Branches creaked and old winds howledL
Sick for homeM
All the night I saw the riverB
As a girl that sees beside herB
Love between fear and fearN
Riding and is dumbO
The white horse turned to cross the riverB
But the waters like a wallP
Rose and hung dark over allP
And as they fell the river widerB
Wider grew and sky was bareJ
Save of the sick candle's stareJ
Death the dividerB
Glittered cold and dark and deepQ
Under banks of fearN
But that riderB
Trembling bright rode onR
Trembling and bright rode onR
Through green lanes of sleepQ
