| Women's bodies beloved of men | E |
| Who could have dreamed a thing so wise | F |
| As that clear look of the child's eyes | F |
| Who the thin texture of her hand | G |
| But with a hand's touch understand | G |
| Shaped in eternity were these | C |
| Body's miracles where the seas | C |
| Their continuous rhythm learned | H |
| And the stars in their bright order burned | H |
| From stars and seas was motion caught | I |
| When flesh blood bone and skin were wrought | J |
| Into swift lovely liveliness | K |
| Oh but beauty less and less | L |
| Than beauty grows The cheeks fall in | A |
| Colour dies from the smooth skin | A |
| And muscles slack and bones are brittle | M |
| Veins and arteries little by little | M |
| Delay the tides of the blood | N |
| That is a ditch that was a flood | N |
| Then all but dry bones disappears | O |
| White bones that lie a hundred years | O |
| Cheated of resurrection | P |
| Where is that beauty gone | Q |
| Escaped even while we watched it so | R |
| And none guessed the way it would go | R |
| Only it's fled and here alone | S |
| Lie blood and skin and flesh and bone | S |
| Where is the beauty that was here | T |
