Imagination Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAA CDEE FGHH IJKK BALL MNGG OPEE QRAA

To make a fairerA
A kinder a more constant world than thisB
To make time longerA
And love a little strongerA
-
To give to blossomsC
And trees and fruits more beauty than they bearD
Adding to sweetnessE
The aye wanted completenessE
-
To say to sorrowF
Ease now thy bosom of its snaky burdenG
And sorrow brightenedH
No more stung and frightenedH
-
To cry to deathI
Stay a little O proud Shade thy stony handJ
And death removingK
Left us amazed lovingK
-
For this and thisB
O inward Spirit arm thyself with powerA
Be it thy dutyL
To give a body to beautyL
-
Thine to remakeM
The world in thy hid likeness and renewN
The fading visionG
In spite of time's derisionG
-
Be it thine O spiritO
The world of sense and thought to exalt with lightP
Purge away blindnessE
Terror and all unkindnessE
-
Shine shineQ
From within on the confused grey world withoutR
That growing clearerA
Grows spiritual and dearerA
