I Will Ask Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDCD EEEEFEFE AAGHCDCD

I will ask primrose and violet to spend for youA
Their smell and hueA
And the bold trembling anemone awhile to spareB
Her flowers starry fairB
Or the flushed wild apple and yet sweeter thornC
Their sweetness to keepD
Longer than any fire bosomed flower bornC
Between midnight and midnight deepD
-
And I will take celandine nettle and parsley whiteE
In its own green lightE
Or milkwort and sorrel thyme harebell and meadowsweetE
Lifting at your feetE
And ivy blossom beloved of soft bees I will takeF
The loveliestE
The seeding grasses that bend with the winds and shakeF
Though the winds are at restE
-
For me you will ask Yes surely they wave for youA
Their smell and hueA
And you away all that is rare were so much lessG
By your missed happinessH
Yet I know grass and weed ivy and apple and thornC
Their whole sweet would keepD
Though in Eden no human spirit on a shining mornC
Had awaked from sleepD
