Grasses Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDAA EFGHEE EIJKEE ALEGAA

O cover me long gentle grassesA
Cover me with your seeding headsB
Cover me with your shaking limbsC
Cover me with your light soft handsD
Cover me as the delicious long wind passesA
Over you and me green grassesA
-
'Tis of your blood I would be drinkingE
To your soft shrilling listening nowF
And your thin fingers peering throughG
At the deep forests of the skyH
O satisfy my peevish thought past thinkingE
My sense with your sense linkingE
-
Already are your brown roots creepingE
Around the roots of my mind's mindI
Into the darkness hidden withinJ
The rayed dark of unconsciousnessK
And your long stems in a bright wind are leapingE
Over me uneasily sleepingE
-
O cover me long gentle grassesA
As one day over a quiet fleshL
You will shake shake and dance and singE
And body too still and spirit astirG
Will hear you in every firm bright wind that passesA
Over you loved green grassesA
