Earth To Earth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHIIII II

What is the soul Is it the windA
Among the branches of the mindA
Is it the sea against Time's shoreB
Breaking and broken evermoreB
Is it the shore that breaks Time's seaC
The verge of vast EternityC
And in the night is it the soulD
Sleep needs must hush must needs kiss wholeD
Or does the soul secure from sleepE
Safe its bright sanctities yet keepE
And oh before the body's deathF
Shall the confined soul ne'er gain breathF
But ever to this serpent fleshG
Subdue its alien self afreshG
Is it a bird that shuns earth's nightH
Or makes with song earth's darkness brightH
Is it indeed a thought of GodI
Or merest clod fellow to clodI
A thought of God and yet subduedI
To any passion's apish moodI
Itself a God and yet O GodI
As like to earth as clod to clodI
