Acceptation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EECC

Establish in some better wayA
My life thou Godhead that I mayA
Know it as virtue ranksB
To scorn Thy gifts or give Thee thanksB
-
For now I feel Thee near unsoughtC
But why when I seemed worth Thy thoughtC
High souled impatient for a taskD
Why not have called me then I askD
-
No mountings of the spirit pleaseE
Thou dost accept our dregs and leesE
The wise are they that feel Thy rodC
And grief alone is near to GodC
