Holy Sonnet Xi: Spit In My Face You Jews, And Pierce My Side Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAAACADAEAFF

Spit in my face you Jews and pierce my sideA
Buffet and scoff scourge and crucify meB
For I have sinned and sinned and only heB
Who could do no iniquity hath diedA
But by my death can not be satisfiedA
My sins which pass the Jews' impietyA
They killed once an inglorious man but IC
Crucify him daily being now glorifiedA
Oh let me then his strange love still admireD
Kings pardon but he bore our punishmentA
And Jacob came clothed in vile harsh attireE
But to supplant and with gainful intentA
God clothed himself in vile man's flesh that soF
He might be weak enough to suffer woeF
