Wars And Rumours, 1920 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCBBCDEDFFF

Blood hatred appetite and apathyA
The sodden many and the struggling strongB
Who care not now though for another wrongB
Another myriad innocents should dieC
At candid savagery or oily lieC
We laugh or turning join the noisy throngB
Which buries the dead with gluttony and songB
Suppose this very evening from on highC
Broke on the world that unexampled flameD
The choir thronged sky and Thou descending LordE
What agony of horror fear and shameD
For those who knew and wearied of Thy wordF
I dare not even think who am confestF
Idle malignant lustful as the restF
