Faith Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGI JKJL

When I see truth do I seek truthA
Only that I may things denoteB
And rich by striving deck my youthA
As with a vain unusual coatB
-
Or seek I truth for other endsC
That she in other hearts may stirD
That even my most familiar friendsC
May turn from me to look on herD
-
So I this day myself was askingE
Out of the window skies were blueF
And Thames was in the sunlight baskingE
My thoughts coiled inwards like a screwF
-
I watched them anxious for a whileG
Then quietly as I did watchH
Spread in my soul a sudden smileG
I knew that no firm thing they'd catchI
-
And I remembered if I leaptJ
Upon the bosom of the windK
It would sustain me question sleptJ
I felt that I had almost sinnedL
