Sonnet (i Would That Love Were Subject Unto Law!) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CBBDBD

I would that love were subject unto lawA
Upon his person I should lay distraintB
And force him thus to answer my complaintB
Which I in well considered counts should drawA
Not free to fly he needs must seek some flawA
To mar my pleading though his heart were faintB
Declare his counsel to me and acquaintB
Himself with maxim precedent and sawA
-
Ah I could win him with authoritiesC
If suing thus in such a sober courtB
Could read him many an ancient rhym'd reportB
Of such sad cases tears would fill his eyesD
And he confess a judgment or resortB
To some well pleasing terms of compromiseD
