A Secret Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EBEB FGFG HIHI JKJK

A little baby went to sleepA
One night in his white bedB
And the moon came by to take a peepA
At the little baby headB
-
A wind as wandering winds will doC
Brought to the baby thereD
Sweet smells from some quaint flower that grewC
Out on some hill somewhereD
-
And wind and flower and pale moonbeamE
About the baby's bedB
Stirred and woke the funniest dreamE
In the little sleepy headB
-
He thought he was all sorts of thingsF
From a lion to a catG
Sometimes he thought he flew on wingsF
Or fell and fell so thatG
-
When morning broke he was right gladH
But much surprised to seeI
Himself a soft pink little ladH
Just like he used to beI
-
I would not give this story fameJ
If there were room to doubt itK
But when he learned to talk he cameJ
And told me all about itK
