Lines To Delia, On Her Wearing A Muslin Veil. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ABAB ABAB ABAB

Say Delia why in muslin shadeA
Ah say dost thou conceal those eyesB
Such little stars were never madeA
I'm sure to shine thro' misty skiesB
-
Say are they wrapt in so much shadeA
That they may more successful riseB
Starting from such soft ambuscadeA
To catch and kill us by surpriseB
-
Or of their various pow'rs afraidA
Is it in mercy to our sighsB
Lest love o'er many a heart betray'dA
Should sob a faithful vot'ry diesB
-
Then oh remove the envious shadeA
Let others wear who want disguiseB
We all had sooner die sweet maidA
To see than live without those eyesB
