Lines To A Robin. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCCDDBBEEDDFFGGHHII EEAJCCKKLLMM

Written during a severe WinterA
-
-
Why trembling silent wand'rer whyB
From me and Pity do you flyB
Your little heart against your plumesC
Beats hard ah dreary are these gloomsC
Famine has chok'd the note of joyD
That charm'd the roving shepherd boyD
Why wand'rer do you look so shyB
And why when I approach you flyB
The crumbs which at your feet I strewE
Are only meant to nourish youE
They are not thrown with base decoyD
To rob you of one hour of joyD
Come follow to my silent millF
That stands beneath yon snow clad hillF
There will I house your trembling formG
There shall your shiv'ring breast be warmG
And when your little heart grows strongH
I'll ask you for your simple songH
And when you will not tarry moreI
Open shall be my wicket doorI
And freely when you chirp adieuE
I'll wish you well sweet warbler tooE
I'll wish you many a summer hourA
On top of tree or abbey tow'rJ
When Spring her wasted form retrievesC
And gives your little roof its leavesC
May you a happy lover findK
A kindred partner to your mindK
And when amid the tangled sprayL
The sun shall shoot a parting rayL
May all within your mossy nestM
Be safe be merry and be blestM
