A Roundelay Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDE FFGGDE HHEEDE

Wide thro' the azure blue and brightA
Serenely floats the lamp of nightA
The sleeping waves forget to moveB
And silent is the cedar groveC
Each breeze suspended seems to sayD
Now Leline for thy RoundelayE
-
My Delia's lids are clos'd in restF
Ah were her pillow but my breastF
Go dreams one gentle word impartG
In whispers place me by her heartG
While near her door I'll fondly strayD
And sooth her with my RoundelayE
-
But ah the Night draws in her shadeH
And glimm'ring stars reluctant fadeH
Yet sleep my love nor may'st thou feelE
The pangs which griefs like mine revealE
Adieu for Morning's on his wayD
And bids me close my RoundelayE
