The Mystic Isle Of The "land Of The North Wind." Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BACCAC CDECFECAGCAG CHCCHC AIGAIG JKLJKL AACAAC

KeewatinA
-
A land untamed whose myriad islesB
Are set in branching lakes that veinA
Illimitable silent woodsC
Voiceful in Fall when their defilesC
Rich with the birch's golden rainA
See winging past the wildfowl broodsC
-
Blue channels seem its dented rocksC
So steeply smoothed but crusted o'erD
With rounded mosses green and greyE
That oft a Southern coral mocksC
Upon this Northern fir clad shoreF
'Neath tufted copse on cape and bayE
Here sunshine from serener skiesC
Than Europe's ocean islands knowA
Ripens the berry for the bearG
And pierces where the beaver pliesC
His water forestry or slowA
The moose seeks out a breezy lairG
-
The blaze scarce spangles bush or fernsC
But lights the white pine's velvet fringeH
And its dark Norway sister's boughsC
At eve between their shadows burnsC
The lake where shafts of crimson tingeH
The savage war flotilla's prowsC
-
Far circling round these seem to shunA
An isle more fair than all besideI
As if some lurking foe were thereG
Although upon its heights the sunA
Shines glorious and its forest prideI
Is fanned by summer's joyous airG
-
For 'mid these isles is one of fearJ
And none may ever breathe its nameK
There the Great Spirit loves to beL
Its haunted groves and waters clearJ
Are homes of thunder and of flameK
All pass it silently and fleeL
-
Save they who potent magic learnA
Who lonely in that dreaded faneA
Resist nine days the awful powersC
And fasting each through pain may earnA
The knowledge daring mortals gainA
If life survive those secret hoursC
