The Isles Of Huron Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCBC DDEFEF GGHGHG

Bright are the countless isles which crestA
With waving woods wide Huron's breastA
Her countless isles that love too wellB
The crystal waters whence they riseC
Far from her azure depths to swellB
Or wanton with the wooing skiesC
-
Nor jealous soar to keep the DayD
From laughing in each rippling bayD
But floating on the flood they loveE
Soft whispering kiss her breast and seekF
No passions of the air aboveE
No fires that burn the thunder peakF
-
Algoma o'er Ontario throwsG
Fair forest heights and mountain snowsG
Strong Erie shakes the orchard plainH
At great Niagara's defilesG
And river gods o'er Lawrence reignH
But Love is king in Huron's islesG
