On A Foreign War Ship's Salute To The Queen's Standard At Osborne Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBCDEDEFG

With their deep voice monotonous and slowA
The cannon's thunders roll along the seaB
But 'tis in reverence and to work no woeA
Those sounds here reach the shore and onward fleeB
Past the oak woods that climb the grassy leaB
To strike thy terraces and palace fairC
With stately salutation offered theeB
Who of these potent realms the crown dost wearC
So to the fabric of our future fameD
Set in the green oak of our Empire's mightE
Shall history's voice with measured praise proclaimD
Thy life long love of justice and of rightE
And the good era that thy reign hath beenF
To hail thee reverently Victoria QueenG
