Night Blindness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEGHIJEKLMNOPQE EJEEE

Beneath any common beliefA
lies the unspoken occluded tornB
way we proceed On the beachC
we were washed clean by transverseD
waves All day long on theseE
two lanes gulls let clams and otherF
mollusks drop from their beaksE
the animals raw insideG
At first black sinew held fastH
the hinge on each shatteredI
calcareous shell Then weJ
were driving between dunesE
riding time on a glacier carvedK
landscape out to Race PointL
much as a word travels throughM
the sensorial inner ear to the cranialN
space Now satellites transmitO
the originating explosion tracedP
in the fossil radiation an echoQ
of singularity carried on rip tidesE
of electromagnetic wavesE
carrying forth the broken symmetryJ
And no rain in weeksE
A chalky road illuminatesE
a placeE
