Sunset In San Diego Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEFEFGG

The city sits amid her palmsA
The perfume of her twilight breathB
Is something as the sacred balmsA
That bound sweet Jesus after deathB
Such soft warm twilight sense as lieC
Against the gates of ParadiseD
Such prayerful palms wide palms upreachedE
This sea mist is as incense smokeF
Yon ancient walls a sermon preachedE
White lily with a heart of oakF
And O this twilight O the graceG
Of twilight on my lifted faceG
