Joaquin Miller's Home On The Hights Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDF GHGHIBIB

Rugged Rugged as ParnassusA
Rude as all roads I have trodB
Yet are steeps and stone strewn passesC
Smooth o'erhead and nearest GodB
Here black thunders of my canyonD
Shake its walls in Titan warsE
Here white sea born clouds companionD
With such peaks as know the starsF
-
Steep below me lies the valleyG
Deep below me lies the townH
Where great sea ships ride and rallyG
And the world walks up and downH
O the sea of lights far streamingI
When the thousand flags are furledB
When the gleaming bay lies dreamingI
As it duplicates the worldB
