Summer Solstice Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA BBCC DDCC DDDED

As the sun shined down on meA
I knew I had to let it beA
The dark felt like eternityA
But lightness took realityA
-
I wandered by the brook nearbyB
And pondered thoughts of how and whyB
Summer took a brand new dayC
As stress began to melt awayC
-
Yellow flowers bright and newD
Another day to help me throughD
Today will be the longest dayC
In search of dreams to come my wayC
-
Change is all we have to doD
To grow into a summer hueD
The sunset takes another viewD
A new beginningE
Through and throughD
