Reapers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDD

Black reapers with the sound of steel on stonesA
Are sharpening scythes I see them place the honesA
In their hip pockets as a thing that's doneB
And start their silent swinging one by oneB
Black horses drive a mower through the weedsC
And there a field rat startled squealing bleedsC
His belly close to ground I see the bladeD
Blood stained continue cutting weeds and shadeD
