Weeping And Wailing Needs Must Be. (hymn) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BACDDA EAECCA FGFAHA IAIGHA

Blessed are ye that weep nowA
-
Weeping and wailing needs must beB
When Love His name shall disavowA
When christen'd men His wrath shall dreeC
Who mercy scorn'd in this their dayD
But what He turns not yet awayD
Not yet not nowA
-
Let me not waken'd after sleepE
Behold a Judge with lowering browA
The world must weep and I must weepE
Those sins that nail'd Thee on the treeC
Lord Jesu of Thy clemencyC
Let it be NOWA
-
Let us have weeping NOW for sinF
And not us only let Thy tearsG
Avail the tears of many to winF
Weep with us Jesu kind art ThouA
We that have sinn'd many long yearsH
Let us weep NOWA
-
And then waked up behold Thy faceI
Who did forgive us See Thy browA
Beautiful learn Thy love and graceI
Then wilt Thou wipe away our tearsG
And comfort in th' all hallow'd spheresH
Them that weep nowA
