The Fairy Woman's Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE FFFFGHGH IBIBJKLM

The fairy woman maketh moanA
Well a day and well a dayB
Forsooth I brought thee one rose oneC
And thou didst cast my rose awayB
Hark Oh hark she mourneth yetD
One good ship the good ship sailedE
One bright star at last it setD
One one chance forsooth it failedE
-
Clear thy dusk hair from thy veiled eyesF
Show thy face as thee beseemsF
For yet is starlight in the skiesF
Weird woman piteous through my dreamsF
Nay she mourns forsooth not nowG
Veiled I sit for evermoreH
Rose is shed and charm d prowG
Shall not touch the charm d shoreH
-
There thy sons that were to beI
Thy small gamesome children playB
There all loves that men foreseeI
Straight as wands enrich the wayB
Dove eyed fair with me they wormJ
Where enthroned I reign a queenK
In the lovely realms foregoneL
In the lives that might have beenM
