Seven Times Five. Widowhood Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GGGG FHFH GBGB FHFH HHHH

I sleep and rest my heart makes moanA
Before I am well awakeB
Let me bleed O let me aloneA
Since I must not breakB
-
For children wake though fathers sleepC
With a stone at foot and at headD
O sleepless God forever keepC
Keep both living and deadD
-
I lift mine eyes and what to seeE
But a world happy and fairF
I have not wished it to mourn with meE
Comfort is not thereF
-
O what anear but golden broomsG
And a waste of reedy rillsG
O what afar but the fine gloomsG
On the rare blue hillsG
-
I shall not die but live forloreF
How bitter it is to partH
O to meet thee my love once moreF
O my heart my heartH
-
No more to hear no more to seeG
O that an echo might wakeB
And waft one note of thy psalm to meG
Ere my heart strings breakB
-
I should know it how faint soe'erF
And with angel voices blentH
O once to feel thy spirit anearF
I could be contentH
-
Or once between the gates of goldH
While an angel entering trodH
But once thee sitting to beholdH
On the hills of GodH
