Cold And Quiet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCBCB DEEEBFBFBGBGCBCB

Cold my dear cold and quietA
In their cups on yonder leaB
Cowslips fold the brown bee's dietA
So the moss enfoldeth theeB
Plant me plant me O love a lily flowerC
Plant at my head I pray you a green treeB
And when our children sleep she sighed at the dusk hourC
And when the lily blossoms O come out to meB
-
Lost my dear Lost nay deepestD
Love is that which loseth leastE
Through the night time while thou sleepestE
Still I watch the shrouded eastE
Near thee near thee my wife that aye livethB
Lost is no word for such a love as mineF
Love from her past to me a present givethB
And love itself doth comfort making pain divineF
Rest my dear rest Fair showethB
That which was and not in vainG
Sacred have I kept God knowethB
Love's last words atween us twainG
Hold by our past my only love my loverC
Fall not but rise O love by loss of meB
Boughs from our garden white with bloom hang overC
Love now the children slumber I come out to theeB
