The Secret Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED CFCF

The throng about her did not knowA
Her nearest friend could not surmiseB
Whence came the brightness and the glowA
The wondrous radiance of her eyesB
-
One said half enviously Your faceC
Is beautiful with gladness rareD
With that warm generous heart of yoursE
Some precious secret you must shareD
-
Ah true beneath the filmy laceC
That rose and fell upon her breastF
Her first love taken held its placeC
From him from him whom she loved bestF
