The Parting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FGFG EHDH

One summer's morning I heard a larkA
Singing to heaven a sweet throated birdB
One winter's night I was glad in the darkA
Because of the wondrous song I had heardB
-
The joy of life I have heard you sayC
Is my love my laughter my smiles and tearsD
When I have gone on the long strange wayC
Let these stay with you through all the yearsE
-
These be the lark's song What is love worthF
That cannot crowd in the time that's givenG
To two like us on this gray old earthF
Such bliss as will last till we reach heavenG
-
Dear one think oft of the full glad yearsE
And thinking of them forget to weepH
Whisper Remembrance holds no tearsD
And kiss my mouth when I fall on sleepH
