The King's Gift Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDBEDFFGHGII

TO E S RA
-
-
The new year coming to us with swift feetB
Is the King's giftC
And all that in it liesD
Will make our lives more rounded and completeB
It may be laughterE
May be tear filled eyesD
It may be gain of loveF
Or loss of loveF
It may be thorns or bloom and breath of flowersG
The full fruition of these hopes that moveH
It may be what will break these hearts of oursG
What matter 'Tis the great gift of the KingI
We do not need to fear what it may bringI
