Jessie. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKHK HLML NHOH PHQH RPSP TUHU

You miss the touch of her dear handA
Her laughter gay and sweetB
The dimpled cheek the sunny smileC
The patter of her feetB
-
The loving glances she bestowedD
The tender tales she toldE
The world since she has gone awayF
Seems empty drear and coldE
-
Dear oft you prayed that God would giveG
Your darling joy and graceH
That pain or loss might never dimI
The brightness of her faceH
-
That her young heart might keep its trustJ
Its purity so whiteK
Its wealth of sweet unselfishnessH
Her eyes their radiant lightK
-
Her fair soft face its innocenceH
Of every guile and wrongL
And nothing touch to mar the joyM
And gladness of her songL
-
God heard the prayer His answer cameN
Now cease thy murmuring ceaseH
Come little one come home He saidO
Unto the Land of PeaceH
-
You sheltered her upon your breastP
The child so quaint and wiseH
To day where sorrow is unknownQ
She walks in paradiseH
-
Her eyes have learned the mysteryR
Her feet the vale have crostP
But friend of mine you'll find againS
The treasure you have lostP
-
Your arms will surely clasp once moreT
The little fair haired girlU
Who waits for you within the gatesH
Of jasper and of pearlU
