Immortality Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEC GHGH

The fluttering leaves above his graveA
The grasses creeping toward the lightB
The flowers fragile sweet and braveA
That hide the earth clods from our sightB
-
The swelling buds on shrub and treeC
The golden gleam of daffodilD
The violet blooming fair and freeC
Where late the winds blew harsh and chillD
-
The lily lifting up its breathE
Where snowdrifts spread but yesterdayF
All cry Where is thy sting O deathE
O grave where is thy victoryC
-
Each Eastertide the old world singsG
Her anthem sweet and true and strongH
And all the tender growing thingsG
Join in her resurrection songH
