Estranged Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGBGB

It is good bye she said the world is wideA
There's space for you and me to walk apartB
Though we have walked together side by sideA
My thoughts all yours my resting place your heartB
We now will go our different ways ForgetC
The happy past I would not have you keepD
One thought of me Ah yes my eyes are wetC
My love is great my grief must needs be deepD
-
Yet I have strength to look at you and sayE
Forget it all forget our souls were stirredF
Forget the sweetness of each dear dead dayE
The warm impassioned kiss the tender wordF
The clinging handclasp and the love filled eyesG
Forget all these but when we walk apartB
Remember this though wilful and unwiseG
No word of mine did ever hurt your heartB
