Envy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFGFGE

When Satan sends to vex the mind of manA
And urge him on to meanness and to wrongB
His satellites there is not one that canA
Acquit itself like envy Not so strongB
As lust so quick as fear so big as hateC
A pigmy thing the twin of sordid greedD
Its work all noble things to underrateC
Decry fair face fair form fair thought fair deedD
A sneer it has for what is highest bestE
For love's soft voice and virtue's robe of whiteF
Truth is not true and pity is not kindG
A great task done is but a pastime lightF
Tormented and tormenting is the mindG
That grants to envy room to make its nestE
