The Calculation Of Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGHIJIJ KK

Thou art aged but recountA
Since thy early life beganB
What may be the just amountA
Thou shouldst number of thy spanB
How much to thy debts belongC
How much when vain fancy caught theeD
How much to the giddy throngC
How much to the poor who sought theeD
How much to thy lawyer's wilesE
How much to thy menial crewF
How much to thy lady's smilesE
How much to thy sick bed dueF
How much for thy hours of leisureG
For thy hurrying to and froH
How much for each idle pleasureG
If the list thy memory knowH
Every wasted misspent dayI
Which regret can ne'er recallJ
If all theso them tak'st awayI
Thou wilt find thy age but smallJ
That thy years were falsely toldK
And even now thou art not oldK
