Lament Viii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFF GG

Thou hast made all the house an empty thingA
Dear Ursula by this thy vanishingA
Though we are here 'tis yet a vacant placeB
One little soul had filled so great a spaceB
For thou didst sing thy joyousness to allC
Running through every nook of house and hallC
Thou wouldst not have thy mother grieve nor letD
Thy father with too solemn thinking fretD
His head but thou must kiss them daughter mineE
And all with that entrancing laugh of thineE
Now on the house has fallen a dumb blightF
Thou wilt not come with archness and delightF
-
But every corner lodges lurking griefG
And all in vain the heart would seek reliefG
