Lament Vii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDEEBBDDFDGGDDDD

Sad trinkets of my little daughter dressesA
That touched her like caressesB
Why do you draw my mournful eyes To borrowC
A newer weight of sorrowC
No longer will you clothe her form to fold herD
Around and wrap her hold herD
A hard unwaking sleep has overpoweredE
Her limbs and now the floweredE
Cool muslin and the ribbon snoods are bootlessB
The gilded girdles fruitlessB
My little girl 'twas to a bed far otherD
That one day thy poor motherD
Had thought to lead thee and this simple dowerF
Suits not the bridal hourD
A tiny shroud and gown of her own sewingG
She gives thee at thy goingG
Thy rather brings a clod of earth a somberD
Pillow for thy last slumberD
And so a single casket scant of measureD
Locks thee and all thy treasureD
