Thou seest all things human as they are | D |
Trifles Thou bearest in thy breast a star | D |
Fixed and tranquil and dost contemplate | E |
Death unafraid still calm inviolate | F |
Of riches one thing thou dost hold the measure | G |
Proportion to man's needs not gold nor treasure | G |
Thy searching eyes have power to behold | A |
The beggar housed beneath the roof of gold | A |
Nor dost thou grudge the poor man fame as blest | H |
