| It maybe wouldn't rain a bit | L |

| Will overtake the best of men | N |
| Some little skift o' clouds'll shet | M |
| The sun off now and then | N |
| But maybe while you're wondern' who | O |
| You've fool like lent your umbrell' to | O |
| And want it out'll pop the sun | P |
| And you'll be glad you ain't got none | P |

| They's too much wet er too much sun | P |
| Er work er waiting round to do | O |
| Before the plowin''s done | P |

| Jest as it's lookin' hard to beat | M |
| Will ketch the storm and jest about | M |
| The time the corn 's a jintin' out | M |

| And back'ard crops and wind and rain | A |
| And yit the corn that's wallered down | Q |

| In mortals sich as you and me | F |
| A faultin' Nature's wise intents | C |
| And lockin' horns with Providence | E |
