The Town Karnteel It's who'll revealA
Its praises jushtifiableA
For who can sing av anythingB
So lovely and reliableA
Whin Summer Spring or Winter liesC
From Malin's Head to TipperaryD
There's no such town for interpriseC
Bechuxt Youghal and LondonderryD
-
There's not its likes in IrelandE
For twic't the week be gorriesC
They're playing jigs upon the bandF
And joomping there in sacks and andE
And racing wid wheelborriesC
-
Kanteel it's there like any fairG
The purty gurrls is plinty sureH
And man alive At forty fiveI
The leg's av me air twinty sureH
I lave me cares and hoein' tooJ
Behint me as is sinsibleA
And it's Karnteel I'm goin' toJ
To cilebrate in principleA
-
For there's the town av all the landF
And twic't the week be gorriesC
They're playing jigs upon the bandF
And joomping there in sacks and andE
And racing wid wheelborriesC
-
And whilst I feel for owld KarnteelA
That I've no phrases gloriousC
It stands above the need av loveK
That boasts in voice uproariousC
Lave that for Cork and Dublin tooJ
And Armagh and Killarney thinL
And Karnteel won't be troublin' youJ
Wid any jilous blarney thinL
-
For there's the town av all the landF
Where twic't the week be gorriesC
They're playing jigs upon the bandF
And joomping there in sacks and andE
And racing wid wheelborriesC
